The rush of fans in the 2024/25 win2day ICE Hockey League season remains unbroken - so it is hardly surprising that the magic mark of one million fans was already broken during the quarter-final series. On the fourth quarter-final matchday, three of the four arenas were completely sold out. It is the first time since the 2018/19 season that this impressive figure has been surpassed again.

So far this season, 333 games have been played and the number of spectators speaks for itself: exactly 1,006,938 ice hockey fans have filled the arenas so far - an impressive average of 3,023 per game. This is the first time since the 2018/19 season that the magic mark of one million fans has been exceeded. At the same point last season, there were 893,342 fans, an average of 2,682 fans.

Fan crowds in the playoffs
As expected, the playoffs are a real crowd puller. After 21 postseason games (including pre-playoffs), 75,053 fans have already filled the arenas - an average of 3,573 spectators per game. Tomorrow, Tuesday, the crowds will be big again, with sold-out arenas expected in Klagenfurt, Bolzano and Linz. High tension is guaranteed in all matches: While the EC-KAC have the chance to qualify for the semi-finals, HCB Südtirol Alperia are fighting to regain the lead and the Steinbach Black Wings Linz must win to avoid an early end of the season.
