Bregenzerwald and Fassa sign imports I Feldkirch loses first test match

The EC Bregenzerwald and the SHC Fassa Falcons signed imports from Sweden. While the Vorarlberg side signed a defender and a striker, the "Falcons" hired a new goaltender. VEU Feldkirch played their first test match on Tuesday evening. Against GCK Lions from Switzerland, the VEU lost with 2:3. In addition, Luca Kohlmaier was presented as a new addition to the Ländle. Meanwhile the HC Pustertal Wölfe presented three more contract extensions. Among others, the top scorer of last season of the South Tyrolean, Massimo Carozza, remains on board.

Bregenzerwald signs two Swedish imports
With defender Jesper Åkerman (24) and attacker Lukas Löfquist (24) the EC Bregenzerwald signed two imports from Sweden. Both players were under contract at the Vienna Capitals Silver last season. For the Viennese Löfquist scored 24 points (15G/9A) in 26 games. Furthermore the "Wälder" announced that with Simon Wolf and Lukas Göggel two more players renewed their contracts. Tonight (02.09.) the Vorarlberg side will already play their fourth test match. At 20:00 the ECB visits the EHC Chur from Switzerland.



Fassa hires new goaltender

The SHC Fassa Falons has strengthened its position on the goalkeeper's bench and signed Arvid Ljung from Sweden. For the 27-year-old, the "Falcons" are the first stop abroad. Over the past three years, Ljung has been under contract with four clubs from the HockeyAllsvenskan. Before that he played for many years with clubs from the Swedish Division 1 and 2.



Feldkirch loses first test game and signed defender

The VEU Feldkirch lost their first test match against the GCK Lions from Switzerland with 2:3 on Tuesday evening. The 750 spectators in the Vorarlberhalle saw a starting period in which the guests set the tone and won it with 2:0. In the middle period Feldkirch was clearly improved. VEU captain Dylan Stanley scored the only goal in the second 20 minutes. In the final period both teams scored once each. Christoph Draschkowitz was the goalscorer for the Vorarlberg side.

Feldkirch also presented a new signing. Luca Kohlmaier transfers from the EC VSV to Vorarlberg. Last season, the 21-year-old was loaned to the EC Die Zeller Eisbären by the Carinthians. The defender played 40 games in the Alps Hockey League for the Salzburg side.

Pustertal with three important contract renewals
The HC Pustertal announced three further contract extensions. PUS top scorer Massimo Carozza, who scored 50 points in 44 games last season, the 21-year-old Center Simon Berger and the already 36-year-old Max Oberrauch remain with the Wolves. For Oberrauch it will already be the 16th season with the South Tyroleans.
