Bregenzerwald and Jesenice cheer fourth win of the season each

EC Bregenzerwald and HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice each picked up their fourth win of the season at home in the Alps Hockey League on Sunday and remain unbeaten on home ice. The team from Vorarlberg defeated SHC Fassa Falcons 5-1 thanks to a brace from Philipp Pöschmann, while the defending champions from Slovenia recorded a clear 4-1 win over Rittner Buam SkyAlps.

EC Bregenzerwald has won its third home game this season, as the "Wälder" defeated SHC Fassa Falcons 5-1 and are on a three-game winning streak, being unbeaten at home too. Philipp Pöschmann, who scored the opening goal after only five minutes, scored his first brace of the season. Goalie Alexander Schmidt (95.7%) had to concede only one goal, Edgar De Toni scored on PP. The Italians, on the other hand, also suffered defeat in their third away game of the new season.

Strong middle frame gives Jesenice clear home win
HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice also remained unbeaten on home ice, the 4-1 win over Rittner Buam SkyAlps was the third win in the third home game. The Slovenians made the decision in the first half of the middle period, as Logar, Svetina – a five on three – and Selan made it 3-0 by the 30th minute. The South Tyroleans thus have to continue waiting for their first win in Podmezakla in almost four years (February 20, 2020), losing the last ten games in Slovenia in a row. In the current season, they remained without a point for the first time.
