Bregenzerwald and Val Gardena celebrate victories

The EC Bregenzerwald and the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it prevailed in the two Saturday games of the Alps Hockey League. Bregenzerwald kept the upper hand against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan with 5:4 OT. Latvian Roberts Lipsbergs was involved in all goals of the Vorarlberg side. Gherdeina didn't give the Steel Wings Linz a chance also in the second duel of the season and celebrated already the sixth AHL victory in a row.

Val Gardena also wins in Linz
The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it also won the second game against the Steel Wings Linz within one week. After the 9:1 last Saturday in Val Gardena, the "Furie" prevailed this time with 4:1 in Linz and celebrated already the sixth victory in a row. For the Steel Wings it was the third loss en suite and the sixth defeat in the sixth AHL duel with GHE. Brad McGowan gave the visitors the lead in the eighth minute of the game. Thus, the Canadian extended his scoring streak to six games. In the 32nd minute of the game, the home side managed to equalize through Jakob Mitsch. In the final period, Val Gardena got off to a much better start and scored twice within 81 seconds. First, Finn Ville Korhonen increased the lead to 2:1, before Max Sölva scored the decision. Patrick Nocker made the final score in the 60th minute of the game with an empty-net goal.

Close win for Bregenzerwald
The EC Bregenzerwald returned to winning ways against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan and celebrated their sixth victory from the past seven games. The Broncos, on the other hand, could only win one of their last six games. Away it was already the fifth defeat in a row. Bregenzerwald took the 1:0 lead in the ninth minute of the game in the 5:4 home win after overtime and even managed to pull ahead to 3:0 in the second period with two goals within 39 seconds. Shortly before the end of the second period, however, the guests came back into the game. First Tobias Kofler reduced in the 39th minute of play in the power play to 1:2, before Yuri Cristellon scored five seconds before the end of the period the equalizer. In the last period, the home side got off to the better start. Waltteri Lehtonen from Finland increased the lead to 4:2 in the 47th minute, but the Broncos came back into the game and even managed to equalize. In the overtime it was the Latvian Roberts Lipsbergs who finally shot Bregenzerwald to a narrow home victory. The 27-years-old was involved in all goals of the ECB that evening. The center scored two goals and made three assists.
