Bregenzerwald defeats Cortina in overtime

EC Bregenzerwald celebrated their third consecutive win on Friday evening. The Vorarlberg side edged out Cortina 4–3 in overtime, with Usko Laaksonen emerging as the game-winner with two goals.

Bregenzerwald got off to the better start, taking the lead in the eighth minute through a power-play goal from Toivo Laaksonen. Before the first break, Posch doubled the advantage to 2–0. However, Cortina responded in the middle frame, equalizing with two power-play goals by Kris Pietroniro and Kalajanniska. Although the Italians controlled most of the third period, the visitors regained the lead when Usko Laaksonen scored shorthanded. But Cortina struck back once again, with Massimo Pietroniro forcing overtime. In the extra session, Usko Laaksonen sealed the victory with his second goal of the night.

With the road win, Bregenzerwald climbed to eighth place, while Cortina earned at least one point and moved up to eleventh.
