Bregenzerwald presents new coach, Lustenau signs defender

After the departure of Alex Stein, EC Bregenerwald signed Finn head coach Jussi Tupamäki for the upcoming Sky Alps Hockey League season. Andreas Judex, who still played last campaign, will become assistant coach. In addition 31-year-old Jason DeSantis, who has played for Klagenfurt and Innsbruck in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, joins EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau.

Finn Jussi Tupamäki has already arrived in Dornbirn and will start his new work on Monday. The 39-year-old began his coaching career in Finland before switching to Estonia. There he was the coach of the national team and also some youth teams since 2014. In the 2015/16 season he won the gold medal with the under 18 side at the World Championship Division B. Andreas Judex will complete the coaching staff. The Viennese born still played last season for the club and will now become assistant coach after finishing his coaching qualification.
 
Lustenau signs Jason DeSantis
Jason DeSantis is no unknown for hockey experts as he has already played three years in Austria. After some seasons in American Hockey League he went overseas for the first time in 2013/14 when joining Finnish top club HIFK. After one campaign he transferred to Klagenfurt and two years later he switched within the league to Innsbruck. After three years in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga he has now signed for EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau where he should become a leading defenseman and role model for young players. The former under 18 national team player signed a two-year contract.
