Bregenzerwald takes revenge on Red Bull Hockey Juniors

In the second match of the season between the EC Bregenzerwald and the Red Bull Hockey Juniors, the team from Vorarlberg prevailed with 6:3. Thus, the ECB managed to take revenge for the 3:4 defeat in the first season duel at the season opener, on September 11th. In the standings, Bregenzerwald improved to tenth place. The Young Bulls are sixth in the table.

The hosts from Vorarlberg had the better start in the game. In the eighth minute of the game, Gregor Pilgram gave ECB the lead in the power play. The answer of the guests from Salzburg followed promptly. Only about two minutes later Bernhard Ettwein equalized to 1:1. At the beginning of the second period, the guests even took the lead. Josef Eham scored 38 seconds after the restart to make it 2:1 for RBJ. It was already the seventh goal of the season for the 19-years-old German. But goals from Julian Metzler (27./PP1) and Marlon Tschofen (31.) enabled Bregenzerwald to turn the game around in the second period.

Right at the beginning of the final period Julian Zwerger increased the score to 4:2 (41.). Only four minutes later, the guests from Salzburg were able to reduce the score to 3:4, but then the moments of Latvian Roberts Lipsbergs came, who increased the score to 5:3 in the 46th minute of play in the power play and made the final score eleven minutes before the end of the game. It was the 27-years-old's sixth and seventh goals of the season. Tomorrow, Thursday, the Alps Hockey League continues with six games.
