Bregenzerwald takes revenge on Zell am See

In Wednesday's only Alps Hockey League game EC Bregenzerwald earned a 7:4 home win against EK Zeller Eisbären. The Vorarlberg side took revenge for a defeat in the first season meeting and come closer to 12th place again.

The hosts got off the better start with Dominic Haberl opening the scoring after only 90 seconds. Bregenzerwald was the better team on the ice , outshooting their opponents 13:6 in the first. After 13 minutes Christian Ban doubled the lead and later in the period he even added a third. Early in the second Fabian Scholz go the visitors on the score board. Now it was a game at eye level but Bregenzerwald once again scored when Christian Haidinger restored the three-goal lead. ESoon later everything went quickly: First, Paal Koudelka scored for Zell am See, before Panu Hyyppä made it 5:2. The guests had the last say in the second thanks to Christoph Herzog - 5:3. The fans in Dornbirn saw a tough fight in the third with Haidinger making the preliminary decision on power play. After Petr Vala reduced the deficit once again, Thomas Vallant rounded off the scoring in the final minute.
