EC Bregenzerwald is currently in great form, having recorded four consecutive wins, while the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan are still looking to end a four-game winless streak. In the standings, Bregenzerwald sits in seventh place with 20 points, while Sterzing is tenth with 15 points. This will be the first head-to-head meeting between the two teams this season. The game will be streamed live and for free on the official Alps Hockey League YouTube channel. Puck drop is at 19:30.

More than one-third of all season games decided by a single goal
The matchup between Bregenzerwald and Sterzing marks the 86th game of what has been an exciting and closely contested season. Out of the 85 games played so far, 33 have been decided by just one goal. The battle at the top of the standings also remains tight: the Red Bull Hockey Juniors currently lead by one point over KHL Sisak. The top five teams are separated by only 11 points, while the fifth-placed EK Die Zeller Eisbären hold just a seven-point advantage over the twelfth-placed HC Meran/o Pircher. This means almost every team still has realistic chances to qualify for the Master Round.

Zell am See, Sisak, and Asiago are attendance leaders
The league’s popularity is also reflected in the attendance figures: nearly 57,000 fans have attended the 85 games played so far this season. Zell am See leads the standings with an average of over 2,000 spectators per game, followed by KHL Sisak (Ø 1,438) and Asiago (Ø 1,177).

EC Bregenzerwald has only played three home games so far, drawing an average of 819 fans to the Messestadion Dornbirn. Several hundred more fans are expected on Wednesday — both in the arena and watching online.
