The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan prevailed in the only Friday game against the EK Die Zeller Eisbären with 3:1. While the Broncos celebrated their second win in a row, Zell am See conceded their third loss in a row. Man of the match was Markus Gander with a brace.

However, the guests from Salzburg got off to the better start in the game. After a goalless first period, Johannes Schernthaner gave Zell am See the lead in the 32nd minute. However, the lead lasted only until the 35th minute of play before Markus Gander scored for the first time that evening. Just one and a half minutes later, the forward increased the lead to 2:1. For the 32-year-old, these were his sixth and seventh goals of the season. Throughout the game, the "Polar Bears" had more shots on goal (34:22), but could not overcome WSV goalkeeper Johannes Rabanser another time. Instead, it was Tobias Kofler who provided the decision four and a half minutes before the end of the game. Zell am See is eighth in the table, the Broncos are thirteenth.
