A very important home success for the reigning Italian champions of the Rittner Buam that, at the end of Game 4, defeated Ljubljana 5-0. The Rittner Buam drew the quarterfinal series on the 2-2, taking advantage of the ice factor, which was now a fundamental element after four games of this series. After a slow start to the match, it was the hosts who took the lead thanks to Markus Spinell's goal, who put a short rebound granted by the opposing defense. In the middle period the Ritten came out as they exalted in attack and sank Ljubljana with the goals of Andrea Lutz, Simon Kostner and Patrick Luza. The 3.0 and 4:0 were scored in superiority to demonstrate the great special team of Ritten. After two times the practice was already in the archive. The guests were not able to enter the game as they suffered again in the last stage, when Dan Tudin scored the fifth and final goal of 5:0. Thomas Tragust keept his net untouched despite the 21 conclusions of his opponents. The extreme defender of the hosts earned the ninth shutout of the season, the second in a row at home against the "Green Dragons", the third consecutive at the Ritten Arena between pre-playoff and quarter-finals. The Renon proved, therefore, to be very strong at home. On Tuesday there will be the return to Ljubljana with the series that becomes a best-of-three.
