HC Pustertal Woves have won semifinals game #5 against HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice 3:2/OT on Tuesday and went through to the Alps Hockey League finals. Armin Hofer has netted the Game Winner in minute 66. The Italians will face HK SZ Olimpija in the finals, the first game will be played in Bruneck on Thursday.

In the fifth and decisive semi-final game, Pustertal couldn’t have Gianluca March, besides the usual injured Erlacher and Laner. Erik Svetina was always absent in the guest line-up. Bruneck has been attacking the opponent's net since the first skates. Max Oberrauch has suffered a good chance but the appointment with the goal was only postponed. After three minutes, the Wolves' forward converted a nice pass by Raphael Andergassen into the net. The home team was very determined: Andergassen always became dangerous after a mistake of his opponents. Shortly after half time there was also Jesenice with Rodman for the clearest of Slovenian occasions in this first part of the game. At the end of the period the guests were more determined but the result rewarded the Wolves after 20 minutes of play. In the second period the beginning of Bruneck was like in the first half but then the Red Steelers, minute after minute, grew in intensity and play. In the middle of the game Eric Pance tried to hit for the guests and the goal was in the air. Gasper Glavic steal the puck in the neutral zone and scored the draw (32'). Then the yellow-black team defended well on the only penalty whistled in the first two halved while Miha Brus hit the post. After a time on each side, the result is tied. In the third period, Traversa scored after 183 seconds for the new advantage of the home team. The Pustertal could be play in the only powerplay of the game but they didn’t build much. Then Andergassen hit the post but Jesenice didn’t give up. An insistent action of the Red Steelers and a black-out of the home that has to suffer the goal of the draw of David Rodman (55'). The game was decided at the overtime. The winning goal was Armin Hofer who overcame Climie on rebound after 5 minutes of overtime. Bruneck won Game 5 of the semi-finals as they went to the finals of the AHL against Lubiana.
