You’ve had a long preseason with several weeks of preparation. How did the preseason go for you and the team, and how ready do you feel for the start of the new campaign?
Bryson Cianfrone: “We got here in August and the preparation has been pretty good. We’ve been working hard throughout the offseason. The preseason was quite long – about six weeks – so the whole team is excited to finally get the season going. We’ve been waiting for this for a while and can’t wait for the real games to start.”

This will be your fifth season with the Wipptal Broncos, but your first as team captain. What does it mean to you to wear the ‘C’ and lead this team?
“I’m honoured to be named captain of this team. The club has been around for a long time and this is already my fifth year here. I really enjoy playing here. I like the guys on the team, I like the town and I’m very happy to be here.”

You mentioned that you have a young and hard-working team this season. What do you think this group is capable of, and what are your main goals for the new campaign?
“We have a young team this year, but it’s a very hard-working group. We’ve had some good seasons in the past, so hopefully we can have another great one and go even further than we have before. Our goal is obviously to make the playoffs and finish in the top five. First, we have to get there, and then we’ll see what happens. Anything can happen in the playoffs, so once you’re there – who knows?”
