Bulldogs with new coaching staff

The Dornbirn Bullldogs have announced their new coaching staff. Jussi Tupamäki, Markku Kyllönen and Otto Myllynen are going to coach the Bulldogs. While Tupamäki is the new head coach, Otto Myllynen signed as new goalie coach. Furthermore Kyllönen will act as new assistant coach. The spusu Vienna Capitals announced the contract extensions of Sondre Olden, Riley Holzapfel, Mario Fischer, Ali Wukovits and Niki Hartl. Meanwhile, the HC Orli Znojmo announced the departure of Erik Nemec.

Finnish coach trio for Dornbirn
The managers of the Dornbirn Bulldogs announced the signing of the Finnish coaching trio Jussi Tupamäki, Markku Kyllönen and Otto Myllynen. Tupamäki has recently worked as head coach of the national team of Estonia, in the 2017-18 season he coached EC Bregenzerwald in Alps Hockey League. Marku Myllynen will join him as assistant coach. Myllynen recently worked as assistant coach at Sport in the Finnish Liiga. During his active career he played, among other teams, nine times for the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL. Otto Myllynen relieves Janne Pekkarinen as new goalie coach. In terms of fitness and nutrition, the Vorarlbergers continue to rely on Simon Sengele. This new line is going to be completed by the newly appointed training coordinator Sami Kaartinen and EC Bregenzerwald Head Coach Markus Juurikkala, who will be the link between the axis youth-cooperation-first team.

Capitals extends with quintet
The spusu Vienna Capitals have extended the contracts of the Austrian trio Mario Fischer, Ali Wukovits and Niki Hartl. In addition, the management of the capitals also extended the contracts of Sondre Olden and Riley Holzapfel. With the extension of these two player the Austrians managed to tie two absolute top performers to the club. With 23 goals and 29 assists, the Norwegian Olden was one of the best scorers in Vienna during the last season. On the other hand the 30-year-old Holzapfel came to Vienna in the 2016/17 season and immediately became the MVP of the league. In the three previous seasons, the Canadian always managed to score at least 50 points. In addition to the five contract extensions, the Capitals also announced four departures. After three years in the capital, goalkeeper Jean-Philippe Lamoureux will leave the club. In addition, the contracts of Mat Clark, Patrick Mullen and Kelsey Tessier were not renewed.
 
Erik Nemec leaves Znojmo
HC Orli Znojmo announced the departure of forward Erik Nemec. The 25-year-old Czech made 55 appearances last season, scoring a total of 13 goals and 24 assists.
