On Friday spusu Vienna Capitals extended their winning streak to 11. While Medvescak Zagreb earned their first home win of the season, Moser Medical Graz99ers got a comeback win in Klagenfurt. In addition, HC TWK Innsbruck beat Villach for a fourth time in a row.

Medvescak Zagreb hosted another game in the Sisak Zibel Ice Hall, this time against Linz. The visitors were the first to strike on a powerplay when Kristler scored in the top shelf. The home team created various chances but could not capitalize and the score during the first intermission remained 1:0 for the Black Wings. The second period saw a dream start for the visiting team - Medvescak were on the powerplay but Rosandic gave away the puck to DaSilva who scored easily on the penalty kill to double the lead. But that sparked the comeback as Olden cut the lead in half on a powerplay, assisted by the newcomer Lemtyugov. A breakaway 2-on-1 ensued and Olden assisted Sylvestre to level the score at 2. The Bears scored on the powerplay to open the third period as Mauldin scored on an assist from Sauve. Sauve scored to make it 4:2 after a scramble before the Linz goal, the puck went over the shoulder of Ouzas. The visitors pulled the goalie in the dying minutes of the game which gave opportunity to Aviani who scored on an empty net over half the rink to mark the final score of 5:2 for Medvescak.

The Carinthians came out hard but their fans had to wait 15 minutes until Fischer broke the spell - 1:0. Early in the second Thomas Koch doubled the score and in further consequence the hosts missed some chances for an even higher lead. In the third Klagenfurt killed two Graz' power plays but with nine minutes to go Robin Weihager got the guests on the score board. In a final push Matt Caito scored the equalizer and sent it to overtime. With no goals in the extra session (Petersen missed a penalty), the decision was made in shootout with Weihager grabbing the bonus point for Graz.

After Ali Wukovits missed a first big chance, Chris DeSousa opened the scoring halfway through the first. Early in the middle frame Gazley tied it but just two minutes later Clark restored Vienna's lead. Before the halfway point of the game Thomas Raffl made it two a piece on power play. The Red Bulls came close to turn the game around when Gazley only hit the post. With ten minutes to go it was Peter Schneider, who got his team on winning way thanks to a pp goal. It was Schneider again who made the game safe when Salzburg took high risks and pulled their goalie.

HC TWK Innsbruck – EC Panaceo VSV 5:4 (1:2, 2:0, 2:2)

After losing the first three road games Villach had an early 2:0 lead in Innsbruck thanks to goals from Pollastrone and Alderson. Ondrej Sedivy pulled one back for the host who turned the game around in the second. Once again Sedivy and Andrew Yogan put Innsbruck ahead. It became even better for the sharks when Clark doubled the lead on power play in the third. Villach came back within two minutes, though. Fraser (pp) and Pollastrone tied it at four. It was an all or nothing game with Innsbruck holding the upper hand. Yogan's second of the night secured the 5:4 home win.
