spusu Vienna Capitals have been on fire against the Moser Medical Graz99ers and took over the lead in the Pick Round. The Caps won 8:3. The Styrians took a 2:1-lead into the first break. Caito in a Power Play (2.) and Hamilton, who surprised goalie Starkbaum with a shot in the sharp angel (20.), gave their team the lead twice – 2:1. But, the Caps were on fire in period 2 and turned the game with 5 goals. DeSousa from a short distance (22.), Wall (2x) and Schneider (2x) made it 6:2 after 40 minutes. The home-team has finally won 8:3 and has earned place 1 in the Pick Round. Each team will finish the Intermediate Round in the Top 4 for sure and will have home-advantage in the Playoff Quarterfinals too.

Fehervar AV19 has earned the first win in the Pick Round. The Hungarians won 4:1 in Salzburg on Sunday and collected their first three points. Luttinen (1.) gave his team a 1:0-lead after just 43 seconds. Herburger had the best chances for the Austrians in two shorthanded situations (12., 19.). Erdely went alone on the net after returning from the penalty box in minute 26 and netted the 2:0. The Mozart Citizens did not have much to answer, they had problems to break through the guests strong defense. On the other side, Hari (29.), Meland and Reisz (34.) missed good chances for the 3:0. This was punished by the Austrians: Hughes made the 1:2 from a sharp angel. Fehervar responded with the 3:1 netted by Meland. Then, the guests defended their lead and added the 4:1 into the empy net.

HCB Südtirol Alperia celebrated a 2:1-win against EC-KAC, all three goals have been scored in period 1. Petan netted the 1:0 in a Power Play from the slot in minute 11. Klagenfurt responded with the 1:1 by Harand. Late in period 1, the Foxes were on Power Play again and Frigo scored the 2:1 from a rebound (20.). Both goalies – Irving and Haugen – allowed no goals in the last 40 minutes. Marchetti came close to score an empty-netter, but he just hit the post.

Znojmo had the upper hand early in the game, but it was Linz who took the lead eight minutes into the game thanks to a powerplay goal by Brian Lebler, shooting from the point. Znojmo equalized three minutes later, Mikko Vainonen netting from a very similar position, but Andreas Kristler restored visitors' lead with a deflection that was confirmed by a video review. Eagles missed a lot of chances in the opening period, Kalus and Matus going alone at the goalie, but not converting their shots. And the home team was left to pay the price in the 25th minute when Bracken Kearns tapped home from D´Aversa´s cross-ice pass. Very offensive game was played in high tempo and the home team got back on equal terms midway through the game: Petr Mrazek and David Bartos both scoring with deflected shots. However, Linz had two more goals in their bag. Dan DaSilva fired in a shot from tight angle late on a powerplay and Andreas Kristler made it 5-3 for Linz in the last minute of the second period with a high shot that beat Lassila on his stick side. In the last period, Znojmo could score just one more goal in Power Play. So, Linz took three points away from Znojmo.

EC Panaceo VSV has beaten Dornbirn Bulldogs 2:1 and stayed unbeaten at home in the Qualification Round. Pollastrone gave the Eagles a 1:0-lead (7.). The Carinthians were the chiefs on the ice in period 2, but they failed to extend their lead. DEC had a perfect start into period 3. Timmins netted the 1:1 shorthanded in minute 42. But, Villach responded quickly. Maylan rounded the net in a Power Play and potted the Game Winner.
