Release from 20.10.2026
Matchday 13 of the win2day ICE Hockey League features seven games on Wednesday. In the live game on ORF Sport+, the in-form Steinbach Black Wings Linz and Vienna Capitals will face off. DAZN Italia will also broadcast Milano Hockey Club’s away game against the champions in Graz. In addition, league leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia host HC TIWAG Innsbruck in the Brenner derby.
Moser Medical Graz99ers – Milano Hockey Club (18:30)
The Graz99ers are set to host Milano Hockey Club, marking the first time in almost three decades that they have welcomed a team from Milan. The league newcomers got off to a flying start but have lost five of their last six matches. The Styrians, on the other hand, have won three of their last four matches. Graz coach Dan Lacroix is relying above all on energy, discipline and a solid defence against Milan’s strong power play.
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – FTC-Telekom (19:15)
The VSV have suffered three consecutive defeats recently. On Sunday, the Villach side led 2–0 against Pustertal right up until the final minute, only to be beaten in overtime. FTC-Telekom, on the other hand, are in a different frame of mind: the Hungarians secured two wins at the weekend, including their first league victory over KAC. Last season, the VSV won three out of four head-to-head encounters.
EC-KAC – Hydro Fehérvár AV19 (19:15)
The Carinthians suffered two defeats last weekend. In seven consecutive matches, KAC have conceded at least three goals in each game, whilst their otherwise strong power play has failed to score in recent matches. Fehérvár arrive second from bottom in the table; the Hungarians have won just one of their last six matches. In the last quarter-final series, they prevailed against KAC.
EC Red Bull Salzburg – Olimpija Ljubljana (19:15)
Salzburg are playing their first match under the new coaching staff led by Teemu Levijoki. The Red Bulls sit twelfth in the table with the second-worst defensive record in the league and are looking to regain stability. To kick off their campaign, they face third-placed Olimpija Ljubljana, who have won five games in a row – including victories over champions Graz and league leaders Bolzano. With 52 goals, the Slovenians are currently the league’s highest-scoring side; Joshua Lawrence leads the scoring charts with ten goals and 18 points.
Steinbach Black Wings Linz – Vienna Capitals (19:15)
The round’s top-of-the-table clash brings together two of the league’s most in-form teams at the Linz AG Eisarena. After six consecutive wins, the Black Wings lost 0–5 in Bolzano and relinquished top spot, but remain second with 24 points. The Vienna Capitals, in fifth place with 20 points, are coming off the back of three consecutive wins. Linz have won five home games in a row, with Brady Shaw – on 16 points – proving a key figure in the Upper Austrians’ play. Whilst the Caps boast by far the best power play in the league, they are bottom of the table when it comes to penalty killing.
Pustertal – Pioneers Vorarlberg (19:45)
The Pioneers Vorarlberg travel to Bruneck to face the runners-up following two further narrow defeats. HC Falkensteiner Pustertal sit in seventh place with 17 points from ten games. For the South Tyroleans, new signings Gerry Fitzgerald and Gunnarwolf Fontaine are leading the attack. In Vorarlberg, morale remains high despite the run of narrow defeats, though the absence of Ville Immonen is a major blow: following surgery for a torn thigh muscle, his season has come to a premature end. Meanwhile, Pustertal have bolstered their squad with defender Josh Wesley, who previously played for Bruneck during the 2024/25 season.
HCB Südtirol Alperia – HC TIWAG Innsbruck (19:45)
League leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia host HC TIWAG Innsbruck in the second Brenner derby of the season. The Foxes go into the home game with their heads held high following their 5–0 win over Linz and their return to the top of the table, but they are only one point ahead of the Black Wings and two ahead of Ljubljana. Innsbruck arrive in tenth place, having lost 2–5 to Ljubljana after three consecutive wins. In the first meeting of the season, Bolzano won 4–3; with former HCB goalkeeper Sam Harvey and attacking players Steven Owre and Sebastian Benker, the Sharks are looking to spring another surprise.
