The Vienna Capitals and Dornbirn Bulldogs played their second game within 24 hours. The Leader was the chief on the ice, but could not take advantage from his chances in period 1. Also after the re-start the Champion still had the upper hand of the game, but now the speed was not that high anymore and the fans still had to wait for the first goal. Period 3 started with good chances for Vienna. Finally in minute 53 Jamie Fraser scored the 1:0 with a blueliner. Then the Capitals defended their lead and even added the 2:0 from Tessier into the empty net (60.). For Vienna it was the fourth win – including CHL - within seven days. Goalie Max Zimmermann celebrated a Shut-out in his second Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-game. Besides the Capitals signed goalie Pekka Tuokkola, who played already for EC-KAC from 2014 until 2016.
