Caps, KAC and Innsbruck record first victories

While HC TIWAG Innsbruck was able to record its first preseason win at the Haie-Fest, the spusu Vienna Capitals and the EC-KAC each managed their first success of the current preparation campaign "on the road". Other victories were recorded by HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana, HC Pustertal and HCB Südtirol Alperia. The Foxes won the Hansjörg Brunner Memorial Tournament.

Ravensburg Towerstars - HK SŽ Olimpija Ljubljana 2:3 (1:1,0:1,2:0)

HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana recorded their second win in their already fourth preseason game. After yesterday's opening loss in the Landshut Brauhaus Cup against the Augsburg Panthers, the ICE team from Slovenia celebrated a 3-2 victory over DEL2 club Ravensburg Towerstars. Luka Kalan, Chris Dodero and Jaka Sodja, who provided the deciding goal in the final period, were responsible for Ljubljana's goals.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Bietigheim Steelers 6:2 (1:0,3:2,2:0)

HC TIWAG Innsbruck celebrated its first win in the current preparation campaign at the Haie-Fest in the TIWAG Arena. In a fast and physical match, the Tyroleans controlled the DEL team Bietigheim Steelers from the start. The Innsbruck team already led 4:0 after 28 minutes, and even when the Steelers cut it to 2:4, the Sharks showed no nerves and prevailed 6:2.

HC České Budějovice - Steinbach Black Wings Linz 6:4 (2:1,2:3,2:0)

Steinbach Black Wings Linz suffered their first defeat in their third preseason game. But even against the Czech Extraliga club, the Upper Austrians played a strong game and even led after their impressive second period. In the final period, the Black Wings took too many penalties, so that the Upper Austrians lost the game. Budweis finally won 6:4, with Brodi Stuart, Andreas Kristler, Shawn St-Amant and Stefan Gaffal providing the goals for Linz. Already next week Linz will have their revenge.

SC Kolin - spusu Vienna Capitals 1:3 (0:1,0:1,1:1)

The spusu Vienna Capitals could record their first win in their second preparation game. Visiting the Czech second league club SC Kolin, the Viennese celebrated a commanding 3:1 victory. Jeremy Gregoire opened the scoring for the Viennese late in the first period. In the second period, Niki Hartl made it 2-0 with his second goal in the second preseason game. After the Czechs scored the final goal in the final period, Matt Bradly made the decision with an emptynetter.

EC Bad Nauheim - EC-KAC 1:7 (1:0,0:4,0:3)

EC-KAC celebrated a clear success in its second preseason game. After the narrow defeat against Hydro Fehérvár AV19, the KAC presented themselves on Sunday against EC Bad Nauheim with a lot of goals. First, however, the Klagenfurter had to accept the 0:1 deficit. In the second and third period, however, the KAC found its rhythm, turned the match around and finally won clearly 7:0. Newcomer Jesper Jensen and Rok Ticar each scored a brace.

HCB Südtirol Alperia - ESV Kaufbeuren 5:2

HCB Südtirol Alperia wins the Hansjörg Brunner Memorial Tournament in Merano. After the sovereign semi-final victory against the host HC Merano/o, the Foxes prevailed in the final against ESV Kaufbeuren with 5:2. McClure, Valentin, Frattin, Halmo and Miceli provided the goals for the Foxes.
