The spusu Vienna Capitals made an impressive return after the "International Break." Visiting the league leader Hydro Fehérvár AV19, who had won eight games in a row, the Caps claimed a 3-1 victory. After a scoreless opening period, it was the Hungarians who struck first. However, Jeremy Gregoire equalized in the middle period before Leon Wallner put his team ahead with a spectacular goal 15 minutes from the end. The Capitals withstood Fehérvár's final offensive push and secured a 3-1 win. With this loss, the Hungarians had to relinquish the top spot to HCB Südtirol Alperia.

Bolzano Back on Top
HCB Südtirol fought hard in their first game after the "International Break" to claim a 4-2 win over EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, taking over the lead in the win2day ICE Hockey League standings. It was initially VSV, however, who took the lead 11 minutes in. But a double strike in the middle period put the hosts from South Tyrol ahead. The Eagles fought back to tie the game at the start of the final period. Just as many were expecting overtime, Cristiano Digiacinto scored the game-winner with 29 seconds left. Bolzano added an empty-netter to seal the 4-2 win and move back to the top of the standings.

Black Wings Celebrate Comeback Overtime Win
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz clawed their way to a 3-2 overtime win in Innsbruck on Wednesday night. The better start after the International Break initially belonged to the Tyroleans, who built up a 2-0 lead. But the Upper Austrians responded from the middle period on, taking control of the game and forcing overtime. There, Logan Roe needed only eight seconds to secure the win for the Black Wings. This was the fourth consecutive game for the Upper Austrians that was decided after regulation.

KAC and Pioneers Hold Their Leads to Secure Wins
EC-KAC celebrated a 5-3 win in Asiago, taking home three points. But it wasn’t smooth sailing until the end. After two strong periods, KAC was up 4-0. Migross Supermercati Asiago showed resilience, clawing back to 3-4 by the 59th minute. KAC sealed the game with an empty-netter, securing the win and three points. This victory allowed them to climb to sixth place in the standings.

A similar game played out for fans in Feldkirch during the "Bring Your Heroes" Night. The Vorarlberg team started strong, leading 2-0 after 12 minutes and 4-1 by the 47th minute, with Brady Gilmour scoring twice. However, the Wolves fought back, with Brett Findlay and Cedric Lacroix each scoring to pull their team within reach. In the end, the Pioneers edged out a 5-4 victory, snapping a three-game losing streak and returning to the win column.
