The Hockey Unterland Cavaliers keep their points maximum (9) also after their third game in the Alps Hockey League season. With a strong final frame, the South Tyrolean team won 3-2 at newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje and took the lead in the standings.
The new runner-up is EK Die Zeller Eisbären, which outclassed HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 9-1 and also recorded their third win of the season. EHC Lustenau, inflicted the first defeat on EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel with a 4-3 overtime win, while HC Meran/o Pircher celebrated a shootout win after trailing by three goals early on. EC Bregenzerwald also won its tenth game against Steel Wings Linz.
Tomorrow, Sunday S.G. Cortina Hafro will host the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. The game will be broadcast live on valcome.tv (PPV) from 5.30 pm.

Last year's quarterfinalists had to come back from a deficit twice before Moritz Kaufman scored the game-winner on powerplay. The 21-year-old defended his upright goal-scoring streak, with three goals and three assists.
Zell am See cheers third win too
Since Saturday evening, EK Die Zeller Eisbären is in second place with three wins and eight points. The Salzburg side was superior on the road to HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and cruised past the "Furie" with 9-1. Daniel Ban, Christian Jennes and Alexander Lahoda each scored a brace. The South Tyroleans conceded their third defeat, already conceding 20 goals against in three games.
Lustenau inflicts first defeat on Kitzbühel
EHC Lustenau caused the first defeat of EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. In a tightly contested encounter, the team from Vorarlberg, which improved their penalty killing in particular, prevailed 4-3 after overtime. Frederik Alasaari scored the game-winner 53 seconds left in the extra session. His center, Mikael Johansson, celebrated a three-point night (1G|2A). Goalie Felix Nußbacher had 39 saves.
Bregenzerwald remains 10 from 10 against Linz
EC Bregenzerwald also won the tenth AHL duel with Steel Wings Linz. The team from Vorarlberg, which lost the day before in Klagenfurt (2-5), got their second win of the season. The Upper Austrians, remain winless. Both teams scored two goals each when they had numerical superiority. Richard Schlögl posted a brace for the "Wälder".
Meran takes first win after early three-goal deficit
HC Merano/o Pircher showed comeback qualities in its third game of the season. After the clear defeats in the first two games (1-10 @KEC and 2-5 @WSV) a failure threatened also at home against SHC Fassa Falcons - after eleven minutes the guests already led 3-0. But the "Falcons" didn't give up, brought the game into overtime with two goals in the final period and then won 5-4 after shootout. Daniel Gellon, previously with two assists, scored the decisive penalty.
