Celje also wins second meeting with Lustenau

Celje went into the international break with two defeats, but the Slovenians got off to a good start on their visit to Lustenau: Jasa Jenko scored in the first powerplay of the game in the eighth minute to give the guests the lead. The home side equalised a little later, also with a man advantage. After a shot missed the goal, the puck bounced to Max Wennlund, who only had to slot it in. But it only took another two-and-a-half minutes for Jenko to score again. A few seconds later, Nik Sirovnik even increased the lead to 3:1 with a shot from half distance - and that was the score going into the first break. Shortly after the restart, Lustenau won the puck in their own third and Jesper Öhrwall converted the quick counter-attack alone in front of Celje goalie Jakob Brandner. But the visitors had an answer in the middle period. When they were again on powerplay - Lustenau conceded significantly more penalties than the Slovenians - Mikus Mintautiskis scored after a marvellous interplay with Jure Sotlar. Celje dominated the game until the end and celebrated a deserved 4:2 away win.
