After a week of ice training, EC Red Bull Salzburg travels to last year's semi-finalists of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga, HC Motor České Budějovice, who are currently on the rise, for the first test game on Friday. Relegated in 2013, they made it back to the premier league in 2020 and already made it to the semifinals last season. The Red Bulls travel to České Budějovice without goalkeeper Atte Tolvanen, who is still in rebuilding training. Young Luca Auer, Oskar Maier and Lucas Thaler are missing due to the U20 World Championship in Edmonton, Canada, which starts on August 10 with the group matches.

Red Bulls Salute once again Salzburg's preseason highlight
The highlight of Salzburg's preseason is once again the Red Bulls Salute, which will be held in Kitzbühel from August 13-14. This year's edition of the international invitational tournament once again features a top line-up: In addition to the two hosts EC Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Munich (DEL runner-up), the field of participants is completed by the current Swiss champion EV Zug and the Czech CHL club Mountfield HK. This promises ice hockey fans two exciting tournament days at the Sportpark Kitzbühel for the fourth time in a row.
