KAC’s third line dominats in Salzburg
After three consecutive losses on the road, the EC-KAC finally got an away-win, as the reigning champions defeated EC Red Bull Salzburg. The gamechanger in Salzburg was “Rotjacken’s” third line: Thomas Hundertpfund twice and Manuel Ganahl scored for the guests to grab the second win in Salzburg in a row.
Powerplay clicks for Bolzano
The HCB Südtirol Alperia remained second, after the tight 4:3 OT road-win at Dornbirn Bulldogs, wich had Evan Trupp on the team after about 1,5 month. Bolzano convinced on powerplay, scoring on all three ocassions to turn around a two-goal deficit in the middle frame. After a non-goal last, Dennis Robertson secured “foxes” extrapoint in the overtime, giving the South Tyrolean the fifth win in Vorarlberg in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga history, while the Bulldogs grabbed another point in the third consecutive home-game.
Vienna with superior effort
The spusu Vienna Capitals capitalized on the Salzburg-loss too, as the third-ranked team celebrated an assured home-win against the Moser Medical Graz99er.
