Feldkirch moved up to fifth place after Thursday's shootout victory in Linz. It was teh fourth successive win of VEU, their sixth in the last seven games. With seven wins and only one defeat they are also one of the best home teams. VEU forward Robin Soudek leads the scoring charts with 23 goals, in the past six games he found the back of the net eleven times. The 11th-placed Broncos could end their losing streak lately and came closer to the top 6 again. The team of Sterzing won the last three meetings with Feldkirch.

After five successive defeats EC Bregenzerwald earned a 4:2 win at Cortina on Thursday. While new arrival Joahn Lorraine scored a hat trick in his first game, 19-year-old talent Julian Metzler gained three assists. In the standings the Vorarlberg side still ranks second to last, though. It's a different story with Fassa, they are a big surprise this season. For the first time in their league history, the falcons gained five successive wins recently. They are on 9th place, just one point behind th top 6. The Italians, who will miss captain Martin Castlunger due to suspension, won the first season meeting 4:0.

Yesterday Ritten earned a 5:3 road win at Asiago, it was their sixth victory in the last seven games. The second-placed Saavalainen team is just one point ahead of Lustenau (rank 4th). The lions won 12 of their last 13 games but in league history, Ritten leads the direct duel with 8:1. In the season opener the "Buam" earned a big 5:4 comeback win after overtime in Lustenau. The hosts will be without under 20 national team player Alexander Brunner and Manuel Öhler.

Gherdeina was among the top 6 teams just for a short time as they lost the last three games. In their first 20 games one player really stood out: Brad McGowan. The 29-year-old Canadian gained at least one point in every game this season. (14 goals, 23 assists). Now they host runners-up Pustertal - it's also a battle of two of the best power play units (GHE 31,6%, PUS 31,1%). While the team from Bruncio leads the away standings, they struggled in front of their own fans. They also lost the first game against Gherdeina 2:3 at home.

After losing four of their last five games, Cortina dropped out of the top 6. While the Italians are among the best road teams, tehy suffered four defeats in eight home games. Now they welcome Kitzbühel for the first season meeting. The Tirolese could not gain momentum with only getting two successive wins at the beginning of the season. The Austrians lost all six AHL games against Cortina with conceding five times five or more goals against.
