Christian Dolezal, who held various positions in the Capitals organization after his playing career and served as Marc Habscheid's assistant before, will continue to be supported by assistant Fabian Scholz. Goalkeeper coach Bernhard Starkbaum completes the coaching team. The spusu Vienna Capitals have won three of their six games so far under Dolezal as head coach.

Franz Kalla, General Manager of the spusu Vienna Capitals: "The current coaching team took over the team in a difficult sporting phase and did a good job considering the circumstances. Although the personnel situation was tense, the team was able to win three games under the leadership of Christian Dolezal, Fabian Scholz and goalkeeper coach Bernhard Starkbaum, including a respectable win in Salzburg. All three are working very hard and have good ideas on how to approach the coming weeks and months. We looked at several applicants for the head coach position in detail, but together we came to the conclusion that we don't see any added value for the team in any of them, even considering the necessary training period. Precisely because good work is currently being done, we do not want to make any changes and let the coaching team continue to work in peace. The three men enjoy the full confidence of the entire Capitals organization, including the players, the managing directors and the president."

Christian Dolezal: "In the current situation, it's important to forget the past few months. We want to write a new story and bring emotion, passion and energy back into every game. We have an obligation to our organization, sponsors and spectators to bring our virtues to the ice. We cannot promise that we will win every game, but we will show our virtues in every game. We don't just want to talk about it, we have to show it. I now have a new task, but my commitment will be just as high as in previous years, no matter what position I take in the organization. I have been able to learn from many head coaches and I want to use this knowledge to the best of my ability. I believe in our group one hundred percent! We will only make it out of this situation as a team, not as individuals."
