After HC SLOVAN Bratislava celebrated a clear 4:0 victory in the first ever local derby last year, the iClinic Bratislava Capitals took revenge on Wednesday night with a 5:0 win.

The Capitals already led with 2:0 after eight and a half minutes of play, with Roman Faith scoring both goals in the power play. The 19-years-old already made 35 appearances and scored eight points last season for IBC.

Right at the start of the second period, new signing Jamie Arniel increased to 3:0. The 31-years-old Canadian has already been part of the ICE for several years. Between 2013 and 2018, the center played for the Dornbirn Bulldogs. In the 2018/19 season, he played for the spusu Vienna Capitals.

The remaining two goals were also scored by new signings. First, Sweden's Tor Immo scored in the 46th minute of play to make it 4:0, before Slovakia's David Bondra made it 5:0 with twelve seconds left.
