Close defeats for Bolzano and Innsbruck | Ljubljana wins ICE duel

The HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie lost at HC Lugano with 1:3. For the Tyroleans it was the first defeat in the second test match. The Swiss first league team, which failed in the quarterfinals last season, took the lead in the 15th minute of the game. The home side was also successful once in the second period. In the final period, the "Sharks" were also able to score. Daniel Leavens scored in the 46th minute of the game in the power play after an assist from new signing Anders Krogsgaard. But less than 30 seconds later, Lugano restored the two-goal lead. No further goals were scored then. In the end, the Tyroleans conceded exactly one goal in each period.

The German first league team had a perfect start and took the lead already in the fifth minute of the game. Just before the end of the first period, Bolzano managed to answer. Domenic Alberga scored in the powerplay to make it 1:1, but Nürnberg was the better team and they showed it in the middle period. With two goals, the team from Bavaria pulled away to 3:1. Bolzano came back to 2:3 at the beginning of the final period - Felicetti scored after an assist of Kasslatter - but HCB could not equalize. The Vinschgau Cup continues tomorrow for both teams. Bolzano will face ERC Ingolstadt, who lost to HC Pustertal 3:4-OT on Friday, at 18:00. The Ice Tigers will face the "Wolves" from Bruneck at 14:00.

HK SZ Olimpija - Hydro Fehérvár AV19 4:2 (1:1, 2:1, 1:0)
In the third match of the day, with the HK SZ Olimpija and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 two win2day ICE Hockey League teams faced each other. The Slovenians kept the upper hand with 4:2. Kuralt put the guests from Hungary in the lead in the 13th minute of the game. Only four minutes later Koblar answered for the home side. Fehérvár took the lead again in the middle period, but then Ljubljana scored twice. Ten minutes before the end of the game, Koblar's second goal of the evening finally put everything clear in favor of the "Dragons" from Slovenia.
