The EC GRAND Immo VSV is and remains Chris Collins' only club in Europe so far. The North American signed a new working paper, which binds him to the Carinthians until 2024. The 29-year-old is already looking forward to the coming years in Villach: "I have learned to love this city in recent years, the people here are so friendly and absolutely passionate about hockey. We have a top coach in Rob Daum, and also the organization, the whole staff works perfectly. I feel really comfortable here. We have also played a great season this year, but I want even more, I want to win the title. In addition, I'm already looking forward to the Champions Hockey League."

EC VSV sports director Gerald Rauchenwald on the contract extension: "He is a tireless endurance runner, the engine of the team. Chris is one of our absolute key players.“

On the other hand, Jamie Fraser will no longer play for the "Eagles". The previous captain ended his career with the elimination in the semifinals. Fraser had been part of the ICE Hockey League since the 2011/12 season. He first played one season for Olimpija Ljubljana before joining the spusu Vienna Capitals for six seasons. The now 36-year-old defenseman spent the past four years in Villach.
