Brian Lebler, the captain of the Steinbach Black Wings, has extended his contract and will continue to lead the Upper Austrians for the next two seasons. An Austro-Canadian, he has scored an impressive 647 points, including 371 goals, in twelve seasons and holds a near points-per-game average. In the 2023-24 season, he improved his performance again with 46 points, including 20 goals, in the regular season. Lebler, who has scored at least 20 goals in almost every season, continues his record chase in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Brian Lebler: "Linz has become my home and I am extremely grateful that I can live my dream here for two more years. The records I've been able to celebrate so far are great, but only one thing matters to me. I often lie in bed and think about the championship title. At the end of the day, that's all we want. The club and this city deserve that again soon."

Mackin enters third season with Sharks

Forward Corey Mackin has extended his contract with HC TIWAG Innsbruck. The US-American is thus entering his third season with the Innsbruck team. The 28-year-old was once again one of the most dangerous offensive forces in the past season. Mackin scored 50 points (16G/34A) in 57 games (ICE and CHL).

Corey Mackin: "I'm really looking forward to playing another season in Innsbruck. I'm highly motivated to achieve great things with the team. The organization and the fans are great for my wife and me, we are both looking forward to starting our family here in Tirol and being with the Sharks for another year."
