After six seasons in Switzerland, 22-year-old Massimo Cordiano comes back to Italy. The native of Milano played for several Swiss youth teams before hitting the ice for HC Arosa last campaign. In 31 Division 1 games, the defender earned 18 points (2G, 16A).

Sterzing strengthens defense
A new addition to the Broncos’ fold is the slovak-born Radovan Gabri. The 23-year-old defender played for several years in Asiago’s junior teams –also as a forward- and therefore is considered an italian-grown player. The left-shooting rearguard played for Neumarkt the last two seasons, gaining three goals and twelve assists in 40 AHL games the first season. Michael Messner will also hit the ice for Sterzing's defense as the 23-year-old established himself among the top six on the white and blue backend. In addition, 27-year-old winger Daniel Erlacher also remains faithful the broncos.

Some contract extensions
While 18-year-old goalie Jonas Wohlgenannt, who had one AHL appearance last season, stays with EC Bregenzerwald, EC "Die Adler" Kitzbühel could extend the contract of Christopher Feix. After more than 100 games for KEC, the 25-year-old heads into his fifth season with the club. Last campaign the forward had two goals and assists each in 35 games.

HC Gherdëina heads with two local goalies into the second Alps Hockey League season as Martin Rabanser and Giancarlo Kostner extended their contracts with the club. In preseason the decision about the season's starting goalie will be made. In addition, Fassa Falcons extended the contract with Cesare Sottsass. The 23-year-old forward, who has spent almost the whole career with his home club, had six goals and assists each in his first 31 AHL games.

Asiago confirms head coach Tom Barrasso
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 could resign head coach Tom Barrasso. The 52-year-old former NHL goaltender and two-time Stanley Cup champion came to Asiago last season and reached the finals with his club where they were beaten by Renon.
