The narrow 1:0 lead lasted until the 33rd minute, before Riccardo Lacedelli scored in the powerplay to equalize. Eric Pance had to go to the penalty bench a few seconds earlier for tripping. The score remained 1:1 until ten minutes before the end of the game, when Luca Barnabo scored to make it 2:1 and beat JES goalkeeper Antti Karjalainen, who was absent due to illness on Thursday, for the second time. It was the first goal for the forward since March 7th. In the following Cortina goalkeeper Marco De Filippo was not to be overcome again and so Cortina celebrated the important 2:2 series equalizer in front of 920 fans.
