Machaka new head coach of Cortina
Ivo Machaka is the new Head Coach of S.G. Cortina Hafro. The 57-year-old was already active at Cortina last season as U-19 coach. Machaka follows Giorgio De Bettin, who announced his retirement last week after 16 years with Cortina. Before Ivo Machaka took over the Cortina youth team, he was assistant coach of HC Pustertal Wölfe for four years, and also coached Italy's U-18 side for two years.

For Machaka, the new position is a great honour: "I am delighted with the choice the board has made and feel honoured to work in this historic company that has given so much to Italian hockey. I know the local guys very well, they are motivated and eager to play again. We will try with all possible commitment to play a good game, have fun and make the fans enjoy themselves".

Two contract renewals at Val Gardena

The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it could sign two important players for the coming season too with Michael Sullmann and Christian Willeit. For Sullmann it will be the third season at the "Furie". Last season the striker scored 43 points (19G/24A). For the defender Christian Willeit it will also be the third season in Gröden. With 28 points, he was the best scoring defender of the South Tyroleans last season.

Nik Grahut moves to Briançon

After only one season at HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice Nik Grahut leaves the Slovenian team towards France. His new employer will be Les Diables Rouges Hockey Briançon, where Urban Sodja recently moved to. Defender Grahut played 118 games in the Alps Hockey League for Jesenice and his former employer HK SZ Olimpija.
