S.G. Cortina Hafro missed the big surprise against the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it to turn the 2:6 first leg defeat in the Return-2-Play around. The duel was decided in the Shooutout, in favor of Val Gardena. Phil Pietroniro scored four times for Cortina. The SHC Fassa Falcons won the first leg of the Return-2-Play at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey with 5:2. In the only game of "Phase 2" the EHC Lustenau celebrated a hard-fought 3:1 away win at the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. A transfer was reported by the EC Bregenzerwald. The KHL experienced Roberts Lipsbergs transferred from Dinamo Riga to Vorarlberg. For the Latvians, the 26-year-old played 137 games.

Four goals of Pietroniro too little for Cortina
S.G. Cortina Hafro sniffed at the sensation against the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it. In the Return 2-Play return leg they forced the South Tyroleans into the shootout and that even though Cortina lost the first leg with 2:6. The start of the second leg could not have been better for the home side. Already in the second minute of the game Phil Pietroniro scored the 1:0 for the SGC. It was the first of four goals for the 26-year-old Italian that evening. It took until the 28th minute of the game to make it 2:0. In minute 40 Brad McGowan scored the 1:2 for Val Gardena. In the last period Cortina scored three goals, the last one only 35 seconds before the end of the game, which brought the duel into extra time. In the ten-minute overtime, no team could make the decision. In the following shootout it was Michael Sullmann Pilser who converted the decisive penalty and finally gave Gröden the victory in the duel.

Fassa with clear victory against Asiago
Due to a clear 5:2 away win by the SHC Fassa Falcons, they will go into the Return-2-Play second leg as clear favorites against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey next Thursday. Martin Castlunger gave the guests from Fassa the 1:0 lead in the seventh minute of play. In minute 14, the home side equalized the score with a goal from Daniel Mantenuto. Just before the end of the first period, Joseph Mizzi shot his first goal of the evening. The right-winger also scored the goals to the 3:1 and 4:1 for Fassa. Alex Frei reduced the score to 2:4 in minute 41 and the last goal of the evening was again scored by Fassa through Daniel Tedesco. It was only the second victory of FAS over ASH in the Alps Hockey League.

Lustenau with last minute victory at Sterzing
The EHC Lustenau managed a last minute victory at the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. Up to 55 seconds before the end of the game the match was a 1:1 draw before Dominic Haberl scored for the Vorarlberger team to make it 2:1. Janne Laakkonen increased the score to 3:1 24 seconds before the end of the game. It was Lustenau's first win after two defeats in a row. Wipptal got the better start into the game. Period number one ended with 16:8 shots on goal in favor of the WSV. Only one shot found its way into the goal. Right at the beginning of the second period the EHC managed to equalize thanks to Oscar Bejmo. This lasted until 55 seconds before the end of the game, before the EHC Lustenau scored twice and thus won the game after regular playing time.

KHL experienced player for the EC Bregenzerwald
The 26-year-old Latvian Roberts Lipsbergs transferred from Dinamo Riga to the EC Bregenzerwald. For Dinamo, Lipsbergs played for the past four seasons. In 137 games the attacker scored 24 points (7G/17A). The 180cm tall Lipsbergs will play his first game for the ECB already on Saturday against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors.

ECB head coach Markus Juurikkala is looking forward to the new arrival: "Roberts is a hard working, offensively talented player. Although he is only 26, he brings experience and routine from the highest leagues, which will be very important. He has a good character and is a great addition to our squad".
