After four years, Alps Hockey League runner-up Hafro Cortina Hockey managed to win the Trofeo Ladin again. On the upcoming weekend, a total of twelve AHL teams are in preseason action, there will also be some games between league rivals. In addition, there are transfer news from Linz and Fassa.

In the Trofeo Ladin, two games were scheduled in the last few days. On Tuesday, Cortina beat Fassa 7:3 to win the tournament for the first time after four years. In the final game of the tournament, Gherdeina won 4:2 in Canazei. Zell am See continued their preseason run with a more than deserved 5:3 victory in Deggendorf. Head coach Mike Flanagan's team has won all four of its test matches so far.

In another league-internal game, the Steel Wings LINZ AG won against HK RST Pellet Celje 3:2 after overtime. There were also victories for EC Bregenzerwald (5:4 OT against EHC Bülach) and the Rittner Buam SkyAlps (6:2 against Eppan).

While the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers take part in a tournament in Deggendorf, there will also be some league-internal tests. Transfers in Linz and Fassa
After the end of the one-month tryout, the Steel Wings LINZ AG have signed forward William Persson to an extension. The Fassa Falcons have also signed 31-year-old Viktor Näslund. The Swedish defenseman last played for Bodens HF in HockeyEttan.
