Steel Wings Linz - S.G. Cortina Hafro 0:4 (0:0,0:2,0:2)
Cortina proved to be the more efficient team, just like in the first pre-play-off duel against the Steel Wings Linz. After a goalless first period, the Italians took the lead in the 37th minute through Riccardo Lacedelli, shortly afterwards the visitors went up 2:0 through Luca Barnabo. The Upper Austrians tried everything, but only Cortina scored and made the final result of 4:0 with two more goals. Goalie Marco De Filippo recorded 41 saves. Cortina thus won all four season duels with the Steel Wings and is through to the quarterfinals.

EK Die Zeller Eisbären - Red Bull Hockey Juniors 4:3 (0:1,3:2,1:0)
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors and the EK Die Zeller Eisbären played another high-class, exciting and intense pre-play-off game. As in the last duel, the Juniors took the lead, this time Thomas Heigl ensured a 2:0 advantage. But the hosts were unimpressed and pressed for the first goal, which Philipp Kreuzer finally scored. Another goal less than a minute later tieded the score at two, before Maxim Mastic netted with a powerful shot just a little later to give the Red Bulls the lead again. With ten seconds left on the clock, Henrik Neubauer scored to make it 3:3 at the break. The hosts finally scored the decisive goal shortly before the end of the third period again through Neubauer, in the last minutes the Red Bulls only hit the bar. For Zell am See it was only the second home win over the Juniors in the seventh AHL duel.

EC Bregenzerwald - HC Gherdeina valgardena.it 4:3 OT (1:0,1:0,1:3,1:0)
EC Bregenzerwald looked like a sure winner for a long time in their second duel with Val Gardena, but then a real ice hockey thriller developed. The home side took the lead shortly before the first period break through Roberts Lipsbergs, Sam Antonitsch (33rd) even made it 2:0. Although the South Tyroleans scored early in the third period through a Korhonen goal, Fabian Ranftl restored the two-goal advantage. In the final minute, events came to a head and Val Gardena even managed to equalise through goals by Max Oberrauch and Brad McGowan. After the first two overtime periods did not bring a decision, Waltteri Lehtonen finally scored in the 106th minute. The deciding match of the "best-of-3" series will take place in Wolkenstein on Saturday.

Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan - SHC Fassa Falcons 6:3 (0:1,2:1,4:1)
The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan qualified for the quarterfinals with a home win. As in their last encounter with Fassa, the team from Sterzing turned around a deficit. After the Falcons went ahead twice, the Broncos took the lead for the first time this evening in the 47th minute through Alex Zecchetto. The home side did not let go of the momentum and celebrated a 6:3 victory in the end, with Lucas Chiodo scoring a hat-trick. For Fassa, the eleventh defeat in a row meant an early end to the season.
