After reviewing and examining the statements and perception reports received, the Justice Commission has determined that no further steps were to be taken in view of the lack of objectivity of the alleged incidents.

Based on all available evidence, discriminatory behavior, in particular "monkey noises", cannot be objectified. Furthermore, neither players and coaches of both teams nor game officials and league representatives present in the Sparkasse Arena were aware of the alleged noises.

The incidents described in individual media reports while leaving the arena or boarding the team bus did not take place after consultation with all those present and in particular the players and coaches of EC Red Bull Salzburg.

However, it cannot be ruled out that some of the 5,012 fans may have made discriminatory noises at short notice towards the end of the game, but these could only have been audible to people in the immediate vicinity.

For the remaining games, the clubs are requested to instruct the security once again to identify persons who engage in discriminatory behavior, to expel them from the arena immediately and to report them accordingly. The clubs are also encouraged to initiate arena attendance bans against identifiable spectators who make discriminatory comments on the basis of the respective national laws.

The win2day ICE Hockey League reiterates its categorical rejection of any form of xenophobia and discrimination and is committed to promoting and protecting these values in its activities. The hockey family stands for diversity, equal opportunities and respect.
