“The start to the season was okay. We made a bit of a gamble against Graz. We played good hockey in the first period and had the better chances to score. But in the end, small mistakes decided the game and that's why we lost. We didn't play so well in Villach, but we still won. So the start of the season has been good so far,” said spusu Vienna Capitals' Dominic Hackl, analyzing the first two games of the season last weekend. The Viennese started the campaign with a 1:2 home defeat against Graz, two days later they won 3:2 in Villach.

This week, the Capitals first visit the Steinbach Black Wings Linz on Friday before hosting league leader HCB Südtirol Alperia on Sunday. The 27-year-old Dominic Hackl is particularly looking forward to the match against the Black Wings, who are still winless to date: “It's sure to be a great game. They've lost their first two games and haven't scored a goal yet. They will certainly be motivated and it's always difficult to play in Linz. But we will concentrate on our game and try to win.”

Last season, Vienna were clearly beaten in both away games in Linz (8:1 & 4:1). You can find out whether the Capitals will be victorious this time on Friday from 19:05 live on www.live.ice.hockey.
