Overall, Dominik Groh has the third-best save percentage of all goalkeepers in the Alps Hockey League (92.4%). The Czech may not have celebrated his fifth shutout of the season on Tuesday, but with his 54 saves he played a key role in the home win and thus the 2-0 series lead.

In another evenly-matched game - the Broncos won game one 5:4 - Lukas De Lorenzo Meo put the home side ahead in the 26th minute in the powerplay. The narrow lead lasted until the 43rd minute, when Niklas Ketonen was able to beat Dominik Groh for the first and only time that evening. However, Connor Sanvido restored the Broncos' lead just 76 seconds later.

The “Eagles” then tried everything again and fired 15 shots on goal in the final period alone. But Dominik Groh could not be beaten a second time.
