While the Dornbirn Bulldogs re-signed captain Olivier Magnan and hired three imports, the HCB Südtirol Alperia tabbed former Salzburg forward Dustin Gazley for the upcoming season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League.

Dornbirn: Magnan stays, three imports arrive
The now 34-year-old Olivier Magnan will head into his ninth consecutive season with the Dornbirn Bulldogs. The Canadian has played 427 games with the Bulldogs so far, scoring 122 points.

With Jesper Kokkila (FIN), Anton Stråka (FIN) and Nikita Jevpalovs (LAT) a legionnaire trio is expected in Dornbirn in the next few days. Defender Jesper Kokkila (21) completed one season at the Red Bull Akademie before the Finn was active in DEL2 past season at EC Bad Nauheim.

For Anton Stråka (22), the Dornbirn Bulldogs will be his first team outside his home country Finland. The center played already 50 games for JYP Jyväskylä in the Finnish Liiga.

Forward Nikita Jevpalovs (25) spent a season in Canada at the age of 15 before the Latvian changed continents several times. For Dinamo Riga, Jevpalovs played in the KHL (5G | 3A) in 2017/18, before spending the last two years in the American Hockey League.



Dustin Gazley joins Bolzano
The HCB Südtirol Alperia has signed a contract with Dustin Gazley, a former player from EC Red Bull Salzburg, for the coming season in the bet-at-home ICE, after the forward spent the past season in the Swedish Allsvenskan with Mora IK.

Dustin Gazley made his European debut for EC Red Bull Salzburg in the 2018-19 season, as the 31-year-old collected 36 scorer points (17G | 19A) with the "Bulls" in 45 league games.
