Dornbirn gets another shutout against Zagreb
After yesterday's defeat in Innsbruck, Zagreb came out hard but were not able to score early. The hosts did better when Matt Fraser (15.) and Dustin Sylvester (17.) put Dornbirn ahead with two power play goals. In the middle frame Chris D'Alvise came close to extend the lead but only hit the post. While being one man down, Zagreb's Tyler Morley missed the best chance for the guests when he was stopped by DEC netminder Rasmus Rinne. Vilim Rosandic did a good job at the other end, too. The Medvescak goalie made some great saves on Brodie Reid. When the visitors pulled their goalie for another skater, Sylvester rounded off the scoring for a 3:0 home win. The Bulldogs climbed to fifth place with the second successive shutout win against Zagreb.

3 first-period goals lead Salzburg to win
Salzburg took over control from the first bully with Znojmo goalie Tomas Halasz making some great saves on Thomas Raffl, Brant Harris and Layne Viveiros in the opening minutes. It took the Red Bulls six minutes until Alexander Rauchenwald make the breakthrough off a great pass from Raffl. While Znojmo had no scoring chances, the hosts pressed hard to extend the lead: Harris and John Hughes put the Red Bulls 3:0 up. In the second the Czechs became better but Colton Yellow Horn missed several chances with Bernhard Starkbaum making some good stops. Late in the goalless middle frame Marty Raymond only struck metalwork. Jakub Stehlik got the guests on the scoreboard in the third but the game did not become close again. Salzburg had everything in control and Peter Mueller finished off scoring for a 4:1 win.
