Dornbirn got off a good start and created some chance but Magnan and Trotter could not score. Halfway through the first the visitors opened the scoring when Anthony Luciani converted a breakaway. Just two minutes later Scott Timmins tied it and a early in the second Stefan Häußle even turned it around. However, Petr Mrazek (27') und Nicolas Hlava (30') put Znojmo ahead before the midway point of the game. In a fast-paced game it was the league's best scorer Brendan O'Donnell who tied it at three with a power play marker. In the third the Canadian added another goal when scoring on a penalty shot for a 4:3 home win.
