Both Dornbirn and Graz had to admit defeat in their respective games on Sunday. Just 24 hours later, the teams delivered an entertaining exchange of blows in which the goalkeepers were in focus at first. Both goalies kept a clean sheet in the first period, with 21-year-old Graz netminder Felix Nussbacher making a number of eye-catching saves.

In the middle period the spell was broken on both sides in the powerplay. First Andrew Yogan (25./PP) scored, then Anton Mylläri (28./PP) equalised. After Nussbacher had saved a few times for the guests, Sam Antonitsch put the hosts back in the lead in the 36th minute. But only 38 seconds later Graz equalised again, Philipp Lindner used the space to make it 2:2. In the final period, however, the Bulldogs quickly set the course for victory. After 29 seconds William Rapuzzi ended his nine-game scoring drought and ten minutes before the end the Vorarlberg side even went up to 4:2: After a great Schwinger assist, Kevin Macierzynski celebrated his 100th point in Austria's highest division. A little later Antonitsch and Rapuzzi each scored their second goal. The Bulldogs also won the third game of the season against Graz and ended their four-game losing streak.
