Both teams played an intense game right from the start. At first, both sides could only create dangerous situations during power play occasions. But here, too, the goalies Oskar Östlund and Jared Coreau made some solid saves - so the first 20 minutes ended goalless. As in the first period, the Vorarlberg team was unlucky when they hit the post also in the middle period. It took until the 37th minute when Anthony Luciani scored on the power play to give the Bulldogs the lead. In the final period, the home side just missed another PP goal. However, with five minutes to go, Martin Chovan used a mistake in the DEC defense for the equaliser. Like the night before, the game went into overtime, but this time it lasted only 35 seconds. Matt MacKenzie scored for the fifth win in the sixth duel of the season with the Slovaks. The Bulldogs are now level on points with Bratislava at the top of the Qualification Round.
