  • After the clear 4:1 road win at Villach, the Steinbach Black Wings 1992 host Hydro Fehérvár AV19 on Tuesday.
  • The Hungarians have been without a win for five games, but are fifth in the table - one game more - and currently have twice as many points as the Upper Austrians.
  • AVS won the first duel of the season 3:1. A strong start into the final period paved the way for the Hungarians to win.
  • AVS has to accept the most goals against with an average score of 3.47. BWI got 3.33 per game so far.
  • On the other hand, the Hungarians are much more efficient on offensive end, scoring 10.95% of their goal chances (#2). Linz is ranked eleventh in this standings (7.54%).
  • The two teams meet each other for the 66th time. Linz won 41 games, but none of the last three.
  • Andrew Sarauer and Milan Horvath are still missing AVS. Newcomer Orkas Bartulis made his debut with Linz on Sunday in Villach. Andrew Nielsen (1G|2A) was deregistered.

  • After five road games in a row, HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie returns to its home rink for the "Tiroler Derby", hosting leader HCB Südtirol Alperia. It is the third consecutive road game for Bolzano.
  • The eighth-placed HCI challenges the HCB for the second time this season. The first duel was Bolzano's first game of the season and was clearly won 6:1 by the "foxes" thanks to three powerplay goals.
  • With ten points from eight home games, Innsbruck is the third weakest home team in the entire league. But the "sharks" have a good form from the last five games: They scored eight points - only three teams managed to get more points.
  • The HCB, with 27.1%, is still the most dangerous team on powerplay. The HCI, however, is weakened by the fact that it is undernumbered, and with only 71% is at the bottom of the league.
  • HCB-Goalie Leland Irving had to leave the ice early on Saturday (2:3 defeat @VIC) and did not play in Graz on Sunday. Whether the best goalie in the league with a GAA of 1.26 will be covering HCB’s net on Tuesday is uncertain.
  • HCB-Newcomer Matteo Pietroniro could make his debut for the "Foxes". He replaced Alex Trivellato, who’s loan agreement expired, and he returned to Krefeld Pinguins. Pietroniro starts his second season in Europe, as he played for Finnish side Pelicans past campaign.
  • It is the 34th "Tiroler Derby", more than two thirds (23) were won by Bolzano - including the last four in a row.
  • In Innsbruck, however, the "sharks" took seven out of the past ten.
