The EC-KAC remains unbeaten in the bet-at-home ICE preseason, after a 2:1 home win against league's newcomer iClinic Bratislava Capitals with Rok Tičar and Nick Petersen scoring for the hosts. Moreover, the Black Wings 1992 tabbed Canadian forward Will Pelletier and re-signed Matthias Neubauer.

Third preseason win for EC-KAC
After two home wins against the two Slovenian Alps Hockey League teams Jesenice and Ljubljana, the EC-KAC played its third preseason game in the Stadthalle Klagenfurt – again closed to public. For the first time, the opponent was a league rival, iClinic Bratislava Capitals, who after three victories in a row had to accept defeat again. Because the "Rotjacken" celebrated a well-deserved 2:1 home success in an intense game, thanks to their first line with Thomas Koch, Nick Petersen and Rok Tičar convinced offensively. After a goalless first frame, the Slovenian took the KAC lead in the 21st minute, which Nick Petersen then doubled up in the 43rd minute on powerplay. Karol Sloboda halved the deficit on pp too in the 49th minute.

Linz tabs center and extends with Austrian talent
The Black Wings 1992 strengthen their offensive with the Canadian Will Pelletier. The 27-year-old center has played in the American Hockey League for the past four years and is now coming to Europe for the first time. The Linz-based company also announced the extension of the contract with 19-year-old Matthias Neubauer.
