After five consecutive losses, the EK Die Zeller Eisbären got a 6:2 home-win against Hockey Milano Rossoblu. Daniel Nageler’s five points gave the Austrian side the second season win against the Italians. Mans Hansson gave the home team a good start and Martin Oraze doubled up after about nine minutes played. The hosts were doing great in the first, playing aggressive on the defensive-end and during a powerplay Hansson’s second goal gave them a comfortable lead after the opening frame. David Franz potted the 4:0 right after the beginning of the second. But Milan answered quickly as Simone Asinelli got his colors on the scoreboard for the first time. And Rossoblu continued playing more stable and on their first powerplay, after Johannes Schernthaner got penalized because of holding, Edoardo Caletti pulled another one back. Later in the second, both teams did not create much and the game remained 4:2 after two periods. In the last both goalies showed some good saves and the minutes were ticking away on the chance for Milano. Then the guest pulled goalie Martino Valle da rin 2,5 minutes to go and went all-in. An empty netter of Stefan Freunschlag and one late goal of Daniel Nageler rounded off the score.
