Christian Engstrand moved to Styria last season from Slovakian first division team HC Nove Zamky. Before that, the 33-year-old spent many years in his native Sweden, in the SHL and HockeyAllsvenskan.

Statement Christian Engstrand: "I wanted to stay in Graz because I really like the organization and the city. Both the team and I have high expectations for next season. I am currently at home in Linköping preparing for next season. We are usually a group of 5-6 players who train together in the offseason. I don't know exactly when I'll be back in Graz, but probably in early August and I'm already looking forward to playing in front of those fans in the Bunker again."

Wieser replaces Nussbacher
With the signing of Nicolas Wieser, the 99ers are complete at the goalkeeper position. This means at the same time that Felix Nussbacher will no longer be in the lineup of the Graz team. The 24-year-old Nicolas Wieser went through the academy of EC Red Bull Salzburg in recent years and was already on the ice for the reigning champion.

Statement Nicolas Wieser: "I decided to move to Graz because I believe that Graz is a great club, with a great perspective. In addition, I will get the opportunity to prove myself here."
