Moser Medical Graz99ers goalkeeper Christian Engstrand excelled in his side's 1-0 shootout win over Hydro Fehérvár AV19. In the first 0:0 draw of the season after regular playing time, the 99ers' Swedish goalkeeper saved all 50 shots on goal and celebrated his third shutout of the season. Over the entire season, the 33-year-old has saved 94.2% of all shots on goal so far and thus has the highest save percentage of all goalkeepers in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Olivier Roy in the goal of Fehérvár could also keep the zero over 65 minutes. He was beaten only in the shootout by Michael Boivin. For the 99ers it was already the third win from the last four games. They are tied in seventh place in the standings with 22 points, just behind Fehérvár, which has always lost after overtime or shootout in the last three games and never scored more than one goal.

There were considerably more goals to be seen in Ljubljana. In Olimpija's 6:2 win over the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg, however, the visitors had the better start in the game and took the lead through Tyler Sandhu in the 10th minute of play. The Canadian scored again just a few minutes later to make it 2:1, but from then on the home side clearly set the tone. They managed to equalize before the end of the first period. In the second period, goals from Zajc, Dodero and Pance gave them a 5:2 lead. The best goal of the evening was scored by Chris Dodero in the 44th minute per backhand. While the Pioneers have been waiting for a win for four games, Olimpija ended a four-game losing streak.

Red Bulls win chasing duel
Champion EC Red Bull Salzburg won the chasing duel against Steinbach Black Wings Linz with 5:2 and is now three points ahead of third-placed Linz. The Red Bulls set the tone right from the start and went into the first period with a 1:0 lead. In the second period, the Black Wings were able to equalize in the powerplay (31.), but RBS was on the spot again just a few minutes later. Chay Genoway increased the lead to 2:1 in minute 38, and nothing more happened until six minutes before the end of the game, when Paul Huber scored to make it 3:1. Peter Schneider provided the remaining two goals for Salzburg. It was the sixth win in a row for the reigning champions. The Black Wings conceded the first defeat after previously two wins in a row.

Bolzano still undefeated at home

The HCB Südtirol Alperia remains at the top of the table with a clear 6:3 win over Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey in "Il Grande Classico" and celebrated the eight home win in the eight home match. The lead over the Red Bulls is still three points. Player of the match against Asiago was Brad McClure with two goals. The first meeting of both teams in the win2day ICE Hockey League, on October 21st, was won by the league newcomer with 4:3.

First win of Innsbruck in Vienna since 2018
For the first time since March 18th, 2018, the HC TIWAG Innsbruck won a game at the spusu Vienna Capitals. The strong-playing Tyroleans, who have won three of their past five games, narrowly prevailed with 4:3, but led with 4:1 in the meantime. All four goals were scored by the "Sharks" in the first 38 minutes. Two goals in the final period allowed the Capitals to make it exciting again, after all they had six minutes time to equalize. But the HCI defense and goalie Tom McCollum were not to be overcome, not even in a shorthanded situation shortly before the end of the game. For the Capitals it was the third defeat in the seventh home game. The Capitals are in fifth place in the standings with 24 points. With five points more, the HCI is currently in fourth place.

The EC-KAC, which conceded its third defeat in a row at the HC Pustertal and is therefore currently only in ninth place, is in a much worse position. The Wolves, on the other hand, were victorious for the third time en suite and are level on points with the KAC in tenth place. In the 3:2 home win after overtime, the HCP took the lead both with 1:0 and 2:1. The game-winner was finally scored by Anthony Bardaro 43 seconds before the end of the overtime, after Nick Petersen had been sent to the penalty box for holding shortly before that.
