All three Erste Bank Eishockey League-clubs - Champion HCB Südtirol Alperia (group C), EC Red Bull Salzburg (group G) and EV Vienna Capitals (group A) – will face Swedish top-teams in the Champions Hockey League on Saturday.

Bozen will face best offensive team
HCB Südtirol Alperia rocks the Champions Hockey League! The Italians have won all games so far, earning seven points out of three matches. The „Foxes“ have beaten IFK Helsinki (FIN) on Thursday (2:1/SO). „We played in our system, this was the key for having success. We must continue this way“, reported Leland Irving, who is among the top 4 goalies in the CHL. Irving has a save% of 95.45% and a GAA of 1.58 out of three games. Marco Insam and Company will face Skelleftea AIK (SWE) in the top-clash of group C on Saturday now. The Swedish top-club is leading the group C with seven points. Bozen has seven points as well. The „Foxes“ won the first meeting at home 4:3 after Shoot Out. But, watch out: The Swedish team is on fire right now. AIK has the best offense in the Champions Hockey League, they have already potted 17 goals out of three CHL-games this season.
 
Caps will meet with two times CHL-winner
The Vienna Capitals have celebrated their first CHL-win 2018 on Thursday, beating Aalborg Pirates 6:1. The Caps are back in the fight for a ticket for the round of 16 now. The Austrians will continue their road-trip facing Swedish top-club HC Frölunda on Saturday. The „Indians“ are leading in group A with seven points. The Capitals follow on place 2, they have earned four points so far. The two times CHL-winner (2016, 2017) was successful in the first season-clash in Vienna 4:1. But, watch out: The Caps had their chances as well and the Indians haven‘t won two straight games this season so far: On Thursday, the Swedish top-club beat SC Lions  Zürich 4:2.
 
Key-game for EC Red Bull Salzburg
EC Red Bull Salzburg has the chance to qualify for the next Champions Hockey League round on Saturday. The Mozart Citens need a home-win with + four goals against Swedish club Växjö Lakers. Besides, SC Bern must earn at least one point against Cardiff Devils (GBR) as well. The Swiss team is leading in group G with eight points. Salzburg has earned six points, the Växjö Lakers (SWE) have collected three points and the Cardiff Devils got one point so far. The Red Bulls and the Lakers will face each other for the fourth time in their team-history. All three games between this two clubs have ended with home-wins so far. The Mozart Ctens were successful at home last year (2:1). The Lakers won the first season-clash in front of their fans last week 5:2. „We will be focussed“, assured Head Coach Greg Poss.
